Artists in Residence
Born and raised in Monticello, Utah, Ron developed an interest in visual arts at a very early age. He received his art training at Salt Lake Community College, but also studied Electronics and Business Management. He worked ten years as manager of an electronics wholesale/retail business, and eight years as a Quality Engineer for Rockwell International, and worked at Hill Air Force Base’s Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory for eighteen years.
Ron always enjoyed painting wildlife and landscapes, and while he elected to pursue a career in electronics, his real desire was to create paintings with a focus on the beauty of the world around us.
I paint for the simple pleasure and fulfillment it brings. The process of converting a simple vignette to paint and canvas always makes me more aware of the beauty that surrounds my every day life.
