On behalf of Ogden City residents, Monica and I congratulate the recipients of the Mayor’s Awards in the Arts Awards. The 2009 honorees are being recognized for their accomplishments, abilities and dedication to the arts in Ogden.
Each of the awardees demonstrates a passion for art and desire to improve our quality of life. Through the use of innate talents and local resources, they have touched the lives of those around them. We applaud their accomplishments and look forward to a future filled with their continued good works.

It has been said, “Celebrate that which you wish to see more of in the world.” Held each year in October to coincide with National Arts Month, Ogden’s Mayor’s Awards in the Arts program provides the opportunity to shine the light of recognition on artists, arts advocates and organizations that have contributed in a significant way to the arts in our community.
Nominations for the 2009 Mayor’s Awards in the Arts will be accepted beginning in July. Check back at that time for a link to the nomination form.
Mayor's Awards Nomination
The awards recognize the outstanding contributions of individual artists or groups of artists in eight arts disciplines: Dance, Design, Folk, Literary, Media, Music, Theater, Visual Arts and Art Advocacy.

The First Friday Art Stroll is held year-round, the first friday of every month.
Local Galleries extend their hours 6pm to 9 pm
and host receptions for the public to attend.
