Ogden Mayor's Awards in the Arts - Nominations now being accepted

On behalf of Mayor Matthew Godfrey, Ogden City Arts is pleased to announce that nominations for the Mayor’s Awards in the Arts for 2011 are now being accepted.

Held each October in conjunction with National Arts and Humanities month, the Ogden City Mayor’s Awards in the Arts program was created to provide an opportunity to shine the light of recognition on individual artists and arts organizations that are making a difference in our community through the arts. We invite you to take a moment to nominate a deserving artist, art advocate or organization at the attached link.

...and be sure to “save the date!” Ogden City’s Mayor’s Awards in the Arts reception will be held the evening of Thursday, October 20th, 2011. Join us as we celebrate the arts and the way they enrich and add texture to our lives. More details to follow.

It has been said, “Celebrate that which you wish to see more of in the world.” Held each year in October to coincide with National Arts Month, Ogden’s Mayor’s Awards in the Arts program provides the opportunity to shine the light of recognition on artists, arts advocates and organizations that have contributed in a significant way to the arts in our community.

Nominations for the 2009 Mayor’s Awards in the Arts will be accepted beginning in July. Check back at that time for a link to the nomination form.

Mayor's Awards Nomination

Ogden City and Ogden City Arts, on behalf of Mayor Matthew Godfrey, invite you to submit nominations for the 2009 Mayor’s Awards in the Arts.

The awards recognize the outstanding contributions of individual artists or groups of artists in eight arts disciplines: Dance, Design, Folk, Literary, Media, Music, Theater, Visual Arts and Art Advocacy.

The First Friday Art Stroll is held year-round, the first friday of every month.

Local Galleries extend their hours 6pm to 9 pm
and host receptions for the public to attend.
